>> You? >> [laughter] >> I went to Magic Con Atlanta, and I participated in Gavin's unknown event. And he One of the cards in the event was

the Snapstone wielder. Now, not everybody knows this about me, but I worked on Hearthstone, and I worked on Marvel Snap. And this card turns Magic

into Hearthstone and Marvel Snap. So, if it's a commander and you have no lands in your deck, then instead of getting lands, you get mana crystals every turn.

And they get tapped for any color of mana. And they don't And they don't work on opponents' turns cuz it says uh you want mana on your opponent's turn.

You're on your own. Who needs instant speed interaction, which I love. And then also, if you cast this guy, he plays a random card from all of Magic's

history. So, uh or cast or attack with him. So, that makes the game very random. >> [laughter] >> Just like Hearthstone and Marvel Snap.

Oh, and and I get a four-card starting hand. The deck. Yeah. The deck is also quite weird. So, every card in my deck is a Magic card.

>> I believe you. >> Okay. But, I took cards that ex- that have the same name in Magic and in Hearthstone or Marvel Snap.

And I'm playing those, and I and I decorated them so that they look like the cards from those games. So, here's like black >> What options with this one? Yeah, you

did. Right. [laughter] Well, this is this is exactly Black Knight from Alpha. Well, you it could have been Black Knight from Hearthstone. You're right.

It could have been about You're right. Yes. Here's Juggernauts and here's Fireball. So, these are the >> [laughter] >> And I actually had to re-template all of

the text so that it reads this guy, you know, the cards have on reveal instead of when when it enters the battlefield [laughter] and stuff like that. That's

very impressive that you did that. Yeah, thank you. This took me like a literally 6 months to build. [laughter] I think I'm the only one who could do

it. I actually have all the high access to the high res like art from Marvel Snap and stuff like that. >> [laughter] >> I had to like cut out like do do the to

do the frame breaks and stuff. It was not It was not easy. So, [laughter] you knew it was probably bad. I've never played this thing before. It's either

very powerful cuz I'm going to get a lot of mana or very bad. >> [laughter] >> I'm excited to find out which. >> All right. All right. We all are, too.

Oh, okay. Here we go. I am playing Narci, Fable Singer, 3/3 legendary human bard with lifelink and Miranda makes a signature. >> [laughter] >> But, what it is is whenever I sacrifice

an enchantment, I get to draw a card. And if a saga hits its last chapter, I gain life equal to its mana value and

my opponents lose life equal to that mana value. Uh and my deck is actually based on a draft that we did not long ago. There is a Rotisserie Draft Group.

Uh we actually have the the trophy up here on the the shelf behind because it's got your >> I was the winner. Built built this deck sort of in honor

of that. So, if you don't know what Rotisserie Draft is, uh it is a format where you draft from a pool of cards that are available. One common way

people do is Vintage Rotisserie, which is you draft literally from every card in Magic's existence. You draft however many cards and then everyone builds

their decks from those and then you play. The Rotisserie Group run by David Guskin, who is the the game director of Rift Bound, used to work with Wizards of

the Coast, and Gavin Verhey have been doing 12-set Rotisserie where we take 12 sets from just the history of Magic that have been standard legal and don't

repeat them. And this one was it had Battle for Zendikar and Avatar and I ended up drafting Bant Allies because both of those have Allies and I built a

Katara deck that has I think pretty much every card that I played in that deck in the draft. >> Oh, nice. >> So, this is the most fun format ever, by

the way. >> It's super fun. It's so fun. I built I actually built a website and started doing it with my homies cuz I just

cannot stop playing this format. It's [laughter] unbelievable. >> Yeah, and you're we're talking about earlier that you know, one of the one of the really charming things about it is

like you can never net deck for something where it's like there's no solve to a a draft format that no one has ever played before, right?

which is Arbor Elf Druid. It taps for mana equal to the number of allies I control. Uh and I will gain a life and

because of the second time, I will draw a card. And I am done. I just had brain poison from a previous game that we played and

was sitting here looking at my hand like this card is not legal in this. >> [clears throat] >> She's Azami. >> [laughter] >> Everything's fine, but I was like

based on everything I've seen right now, I can't play this card and it can't be in here. I was mistaken. >> [laughter]

two 1/1 counters on it and tap it. It's goaded for the rest of the game and it gains this creature cannot be sacrificed. >> [laughter]
